In betaActiveCampaign integration for sign and print shops
Your customers are already in PrinterFlo; your email marketing lives in ActiveCampaign. Connect the two and every customer with an email becomes an ActiveCampaign contact, and each new quote, order and approval tags that person, so your ActiveCampaign automations can follow up on their own: a thank-you after an order, a nudge on an open quote, a review request. It's one way: PrinterFlo sends contacts and tags and reads nothing from your ActiveCampaign account. Any shop can connect it from Settings today; the ActiveCampaign Apps marketplace listing is in review.
What the ActiveCampaign integration does
- → Send all your customers to ActiveCampaign in one go: everyone with an email becomes a contact, tagged "PrinterFlo customer".
- → A new quote tags its customer "PrinterFlo quote"; a new order (typed in, from an approved quote, or from your online store) tags them "PrinterFlo order".
- → When a customer approves a quote, they're tagged "PrinterFlo quote approved": the moment to start a deposit or welcome sequence.
- → The order's contact is sent too when the order names one, so the person who ordered is in ActiveCampaign, not just the company's main address.
- → Contacts are matched by email in ActiveCampaign, so nothing is duplicated, and a slow ActiveCampaign never holds up a quote or an approval.
- → Name, email and phone are sent. No prices, no order details, nothing about your other customers.
How it works
- 1
Copy your API URL and key
In ActiveCampaign, open Settings → Developer and copy the API URL and the API key.
- 2
Connect in PrinterFlo
In PrinterFlo, open Settings → Integrations → ActiveCampaign, paste both and press Connect ActiveCampaign. PrinterFlo checks the key and shows which account it's connected to.
- 3
Send your customers, then build automations
Press Send customers to ActiveCampaign once. From then on, new quotes, orders and approvals add their tags as they happen. In ActiveCampaign, start an automation on any of the PrinterFlo tags.
Best for
Sign, print and wide-format shops that run production in PrinterFlo and email marketing, follow-ups or review requests in ActiveCampaign.
ActiveCampaign integration — FAQ
Does PrinterFlo integrate with ActiveCampaign?
Yes. Connect your ActiveCampaign account in PrinterFlo's Settings with your API URL and key, and your customers become ActiveCampaign contacts, tagged when they get a quote, place an order or approve a quote. Any shop can connect it today; the ActiveCampaign Apps marketplace listing is in review.
What exactly is sent?
For each person: their email, first and last name, and phone, plus PrinterFlo's tags. Nothing else: no prices, quotes, orders, notes or files.
What tags does PrinterFlo add?
"PrinterFlo customer" on everyone it sends, "PrinterFlo quote" when a quote is created for them, "PrinterFlo order" when an order is created for them, and "PrinterFlo quote approved" when they approve a quote. PrinterFlo creates these tags in your account the first time it needs them.
Are quote requests from my website sent too?
Not when they arrive: anyone can type any email into a web form, and your automations shouldn't email a stranger. A website request is sent, with its tags, once that customer approves a quote from the link you emailed them.
Will it create duplicate contacts?
No. ActiveCampaign matches contacts by email: an existing contact is updated and tagged, not copied. Customers without an email address are left out.
Does PrinterFlo read or change anything else in ActiveCampaign?
No. It reads only the name of the account and user your key belongs to (to show you what's connected) and the ids of its own tags. It never reads your contacts, lists, campaigns or automations, and never deletes anything.
Which ActiveCampaign plans work?
Any ActiveCampaign account that shows an API URL and key under Settings → Developer. If you see them there, it works.
How do I disconnect?
Press Disconnect ActiveCampaign on the card in PrinterFlo's Settings. PrinterFlo deletes the stored key and sends nothing more; contacts already sent stay in ActiveCampaign. To revoke the key itself, reset it in ActiveCampaign under Settings → Developer.
