Set up your pricing: 3 ways

Products, options and prices are the hardest part of any shop software. Here are three ways to be quoting on your first day, from "use what's there" to "we do it for you".

In this video

  1. 0:00 Pricing is the hard part
  2. 0:08 Way 1: quote right away
  3. 1:05 Way 2: bring your own prices
  4. 2:01 Way 3: we set it up for you
  5. 2:30 Where to start

1. Quote right away

Every new shop starts with a stocked options library: 14 material groups and 52 options priced from real supplier costs, plus 12 starter products. Open Options, check a few prices against your own invoices, adjust what's off, and quote. They're starting points, not gospel.

2. Bring your own prices

Go to Settings → Import your data → Products & prices. Then either:

  • upload your price list as an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file,
  • paste a price sheet, or an email where you quoted prices, or
  • describe how you price in plain words ("13oz banner $4 a square foot, grommets $1 each").

PrinterFlo drafts the products and you check every row. Nothing is saved until you confirm it. Extras priced each, like grommets, come in as their own products.

3. We set it up for you

On Set up your shop, use the "Want us to set it up for you?" card. Send your spreadsheets, PDFs, photos or a zip, and we load your products and customers for you. It's free, and usually done the same day.

Where to start

Start with your 10 most common jobs and add the rest as you go. You don't need your whole catalogue in before the first quote.
